About the Authors
Aziza Musa is a junior who majoring in newspaper journalism and psychology. She hopes to graduate in May 2011 from The University of Texas at Austin. She was born in Houston, Texas but both of her parents are from Indonesia. One day, she hopes to visit her parent’s home and go abroad. Her goal is to become a great investigative reporter and foreign correspondent, such as John Pilger and Christiane Amanpour, for a major newspaper. |
Katherine Robinson is originally from San Antonio, TX. She is a senior broadcast journalism major, and graduates in May 2010 from The University of Texas at Austin. Her two favorite journalists are Robin Roberts (from Good Morning America) and Soledad O’Brien (CNN Correspondent. Katherine’s main goal is to become a great reporter just like Roberts and O’Brien. Vianey Luna is a fourth-year journalism and Spanish Literature major at The University of Texas at Austin. She is a Program Leader for Latinitas, a non-profit organization that empowers girls through media and technology. She enjoys poetry by Pablo Neruda, frozen yogurt, a nice cup of coffee and soccer. In the future, she will become a foreign correspondent in Asia and Latin America. |
Rachel Levi is a junior multimedia journalism major from Westport, Connecticut. Her passions lie in both travel and international reporting. She focuses her work on effectively communicating foreign conflicts with the hope that she will one day prompt change. Her extensive travel to over 30 countries has inspired here to pursue a career in investigative reporting. |
Brooke Miller is a senior, graduating from The University of Texas at Austin in May 2010 with a degree in Broadcast News. When not covering UT sports for ESPNU, you can find her running Town Lake or baking up something sweet. She hopes to pursue a career as a sports reporter, with dreams of sideline reporting for a major sports network. |
